The BYD SEALION 5 is powered by BYD’s advanced Super Hybrid DM technology. “DM,” or Dual Mode, lets the car run as both a hybrid—combining electric power and petrol—and a fully electric vehicle, providing up to 86 km of pure electric range with its dual Blade Batteries.

The intelligent control system (the “i” in DM‑i) optimises efficiency in hybrid mode, achieving fuel consumption as low as 2.1 L/100 km. With a full charge and full tank, the SEALION 5 Super Hybrid can cover up to 1,016 km.
